As Jude Law is linked with Guy Richie's Knights Of The Round Table, a report suggests it's the first of six King Arthur movies...
Warner Bros clearly has very big plans for its new take on the King Arthur legend, with a new report suggesting that the studio is looking to spread the story across as many as six films. You can't have one blockbuster in Hollywood anymore after all: you need sequels, and ideally plenty of them.
The first King Arthur film, Knights Of The Round Table, already has Charlie Hunnam in place as Arthur, with Astrid Berges-Frisbey - previously seen in Pirates Of The Caribbean: On Stranger Tides - set to play Guinevere.
Guy Ritchie is locked down to direct at least the first in the series, and the latest piece of casting news sees him potentially linking back up with one of his Sherlock Holmes stars. For it's being reported that Jude Law is in discussions to play the villain of the piece, a role that was originally being earmarked for Idris Elba (Elba and Warner Bros could not reach a deal, reports Variety).
Knights Of The Round Table is scheduled for release on July 22nd 2016. More on the film as we hear it.
