Some news about when we might see the trailer for Star Wars: The Force Awakens, a potential Mace Windu movie, and more.

Get ready for Star Wars mania to reach critical mass as we approach December 18th, which will mark one year until the release of Star Wars: Episode VII. In fact, things are going to get downright impossible as we try and separate completely unreliable rumors from only mildly unreliable ones. Such is the problem with a JJ Abrams production.

But this bit of intel about when the Star Wars: The Force Awakens trailer is going to arrive sounds promising, and well within the realm of common sense. The word is that it will be attached to The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies. We had also heard that film will have the first teaser for Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice attached to it. Star Wars 7 Newshas something a little more than your run-of-the-mill anonymous source, citing a now deleted tweet from Star Wars first assistant director Tommy Gormley.

Maybe this is what all those Star Wars/Batman v. Superman crossover images were about after all?

In slightly less substantial news, The Better Angels director AJ Edwards, who has been rumored as a potential Star Wars spinoff movie director just did a Reddit AMA, and, of course, Star Wars came up. When asked "any truth to the rumor you will be directing a Star Wars spin-off?" he replied "Talking about it, not able to say a lot yet. It will focus on Mace Windu." That last bit sounds like he might just be winding people up, but you never know. A hat tip to Blastrfor this one.

And finally, we have the solicitation info and cover images for Marvel's first Darth Vader ongoing series by Kieron Gillen and Salvador Larocca. Here's the Alex Ross variant cover!
