After his mystery role in Terminator: Genisys (I'm reasonably certain this is how that's actually supposed to be spelled), Matt Smith is staying safely within genre territory for Patient Zero. Stefan Ruzowitzky (Deadfall) is directing from a Mike Le script. Natalie Dormer also stars.
Patient Zero is a movie about zombies a population infected with a "super strain of rabies" that results in "the evolution of a new species driven by violence." Oh, so it's like a movie about #gamergate, then. Anyway, Mr. Smith is the human survivor on a quest to find his wife. A little Omega Man, a little Y the Last Man, and a lot of Matt Smith probably behaving nothing at all like the Eleventh Doctor.
