Anna Foerster is set to direct a sequel to Duncan Jones' Source Code...
Duncan Jones' second film, Source Code, was a solid hit back in 2011. Following his success with the wonderful Moon, Source Codesaw Jake Gyllenhaal star as Colter Stevens, a soldier sent back to relive the same eight minutes of time repeatedly in the hope of preventing a train explosion.
Jones has since moved on to his biggest project to date, Warcraft, which arrives in cinemas in 2016. And as such, he's not going to be directing the newly-announcedSource Code 2.
Instead, that job has gone to Anna Foerster. She's of late been directing episodes of the TV show Outlander, and she has a background in visual effects work, on the likes of Independence Day, Pitch Black, and End Of Days.
One person who's definitely returning for the new Source Code is Ben Ripley, who's penning the screenplay for the sequel. As of yet, it's unclear whether Jake Gyllenhaal is going to be back.
