The new trailer for Black Hat shows a hack attack that could have come from an internal Sony memo.
"The moment you connect, you lose control."
The second Black Hat trailer starts by reminding the audience that the next Pearl Harbor could happen online. The filmmakers didn’t have to go that far back in history. The Guardians of Peace hacking of Sony Pictures is enough of a reminder of what hackers can do if they don’t like a movie.
Legendary and Universal Pictures released the trailer to Black Hat, which stars Chris Hemsworth as a cybercriminal on leave.
According to the YouTube synopsis, Black Hatis “set within the world of global cybercrime, Legendary’s BLACKHAT follows a furloughed convict and his American and Chinese partners as they hunt a high-level cybercrime network from Chicago to Los Angeles to Hong Kong to Jakarta.”
Black Hat was directed and produced by Academy Award-nominated helmsman Michael Mann, who also directed Heat and The Insider. The screen play was written by Morgan Davis Foehl and Michel Mann.
Black Hat stars Chris Hemsworth, Viola Davis, Tang Wei and Wang Leehom.
Black Hatopens on January 16, 2015.
