Last call for Dark Horse Star Wars comics. and...Aaron Paul in a Star Wars spinoff?

Well, there's an awful lot of little things happening in the Star Wars universe today. In fact, with the exception of toys and video games, this Star Wars news round-up manages to touch on virtually every corner of the Empire, from Star Wars: The Force Awakens, to the comic books, to the first Star Wars spinoff movie, to Star Wars: Rebels. It's a lot. We'd better get down to business...

Poe Dameron, erm...I mean, Oscar Isaac, wants you to know something about your Star Wars: The Force Awakensspeculation (and probably mine, as well). It "couldn’t be more far off-base." He said "base" which is obviously a reference to Echo Base in The Empire Strikes Back, thereby proving that Hoth is the frozen planet we see in the trailer. Not really. It comes from an interview with Yahoo.

And then there's this bit about the first Star Wars spinoff movie. That's the one directed by Godzilla's Gareth Edwards. There have been rumblings that this one is a bounty hunter heist movie, but then there's the old reliable "Han Solo origin story" routine that's been floating around since the words "Star Wars spinoff" were first uttered. Well, maybe they're both the same thing. It's apparently going under the code name Luminac Industrial Goods and has a Han Solo flavor. The biggest deal here is they mention that Aaron Paul (Breaking Bad) wants in on one of these movies, but that doesn't mean he's playing young Han. Thanks to Making Star Wars for this. They've scored a legit SW scoop or two in their time!

I wrote much more about the Star Warsspinoff movies right here, by the way.

Dark Horse Comics are saying goodbye to the Star Wars license at the end of the year. That company did more to keep the Star Wars flame burning than just abotu anybody else over the last 20 years. Bid them a fond farewell by purchasing EVERY SINGLE STAR WARS COMIC THEY EVER DID for $300. Click here for all the details. You have until December 31st...

Frank Oz is voicing Yoda on the upcoming Star Wars: Rebels episode, "Path of the Jedi." Watch a clip of that bit of awesomeness right here...

And finally, in case you forgot what the Millennium Falcon looked like, it's in Fortune magazine. See?

There are more pics and an interview with Disney CEO Bob Iger at this link.
