12 Years a Slave star Chiwetel Ejiofor is in "very early" talks with Marvel for a role in Doctor Strange, directed by Scott Derrickson. Since we've heard Ejiofor's name linked to all manner of big movies lately, including Star Wars: The Force Awakens and SPECTRE, not to mention the ridiculous gymnastics that surrounded casting the title role for this Marvel movie, we'll see where this one ends up.
Nobody has the slightest clue who Mr. Ejiofor could be playing. The Hollywood Reporterunhelpfully suggests he could be anyone from Baron Mordo to Wong to the Ancient One. Meanwhile, writer Jon Spaihts offered some very cool visual cues about the movie recently, so you can stare at that while you try and decipher what "early talks" means.
