James Bond 24 - that'd be SPECTRE - sounds like it'll be linked directly into James Bond 25.
NewsThis story may turn out to contain a spoiler for SPECTRE.
Yesterday, we got the first behind the scenes footage of the new James Bond film, SPECTRE. The shoot has been in Austria, and Daniel Craig has bought some sunglasses. We know you come to us for these keen, killer updates, and we don't like to, er, disappoint.
However, in the light of the new material, some more SPECTRE story details have popped up over at Film Divider. It's discovered that the plan to make James Bond 24 (that'd be SPECTRE) and James Bond 25 interlinked in some way remains.
As the site reports, the film is setting up characters that will appear in the next adventure after that, with actors making their Bond debut in this film already contractually signed up for the next as well. Which characters? Good question, and we don't know the answer yet.
Whether Sam Mendes will return, if this plan for a film that leads into the next does indeed go ahead, is unclear. But in SPECTRE, we're also told that Bond will meet two characters from his past in the movie, one of which "will be very much part of his future." Blofeld has obviously been rumoured as one of them (with Christoph Waltz apparently playing him, in spite of what has been announced officially).
Let the speculation start there.
SPECTREis released in cinemas in November.
