While praising the show's IMAX ambitions, Sophie Turner has downplayed those Game Of Thrones film rumors...

Rumors persist that HBO's Game Of Thrones will build towards a movie release at some point in its run, probably at the end of it. The cast of the show have been doing promotional work for both the disc release of Game Of Thrones season four and the upcoming Game Of Thrones season five too, and somewhat inevitably, questions about a possible film were not far away.

Sophie Turner is the latest to be asked, and she confirmed that at this stage, chat about a Game Of Thrones movie was just "rumors," adding that "I'm not going to rule it out."

Turner noted that Game Of Thrones"was a huge success in IMAX - but I think the reason it was a success is because it's a TV show, and because it's the first TV show to be done in IMAX."

"It's just so magnificent," she added. "The Battle Of Blackwater was incredible on IMAX, and so I don't know if they would do a movie. I know there's been rumours going round in the press, but for now I'm very much content with it being a TV show in IMAX. I think that's an achievement in itself, so why fix it if it ain't broke?"

Turner's comments contrast with what Charles Dance was saying last November, when he indicated that a Game Of Thrones movie was on the cards.

Game Of Thrones season five begins in the

The Express.
