Dan Brown's Inferno: cast confirmed for movie version

As if there was any doubt, the movie adaptation of Dan Brown's Infernois now moving ahead, with principal photography on the film set to commence in April.

The film will see Tom Hanks reprising the role of Robert Langdon for the third time - following The Da Vinci Code and Angels & Demons, neither of which were much cop - with Ron Howard again directing.

David Koepp has written the screenplay for this one, and we've also got some confirmed casting for Infernoas well.

As had been previously reported, Felicity Jones (Oscar nominated for her work in The Theory Of Everything) is on board, and she's going to be playing Dr Sienna Brooks. Irrfan Khan meanwhile - who has Life Of Pi and Jurassic World on his CV - is Harry Sims/The Provost. Omar Sy (The Intouchables, Jurassic World as well) will be playing Christoph Bruder, and Borgen's Sidse Babett Knudsen is Dr Elizabeth Sinskey.

There's more casting to come, with the studio reportedly in talks with "several other internationally-recognised actors for major roles."

Infernoalready has a release date, too. It's set to arrive in cinemas on October 14th, 2016.
