UPDATED:

Evan Peters has been chatting to I Am Rogue about reprising the role of Quicksilver.

When asked if he was indeed appearing in X-Men: Apocalypse, he said "I think so, yes. I assume it as well, but I don't know what I'm supposed to say and not supposed to say". "All I can say is that I have not seen a script yet", he added. The piece with I Am Rogueis here.

Original Story: 10/22/14

With every passing news nugget, the line-up for X-Men: Apocalypse grows. And why not? After X-Men: Days of Future Past’s fan-pleasing work with a large ensemble, director Bryan Singer has a lot of leeway. Indeed, one of the most popular moments in the whole film was his depiction of Quicksilver, ably played by Evan Peters, turning the Pentagon’s kitchen into his own personal running track. And it now looks like Quicksilver will be speeding by again in X-Men: Apocalypse.

While speaking to Brian Smrz, second unit director of X-Men: Days of Future Past, Newsrama got the AD to spill the beans about sequences he’s looking forward to working on in the upcoming X-Men: Apocalypse.

“They want me to start pretty soon, on the storyboarding and stuff,” Smrz said. “I’ll be working on the next X-Men for the next month or so part-time, and by the end of the year it’ll be full-time.”

And when asked about what he is most anticipating, Smrz said, “Well, there will be another Quicksilver scene, which I’m looking forward to; that’ll be fun.”

So while we may be seeing Quicksilver, in some capacity, again and soon with next summer’s Avengers: Age of Ultron, it appears the one that made fans most excited will be running into cinemas again in 2016, as well.

For Smrz’s part, he’d love to see this version of Quicksilver to get his own spin-off too.

“I’d love to do a Quicksilver as a solo film because there’s a lot to enjoy with that character,” Smrz said.

Indeed, there is.
