Another intriguing name has joined the expansive cast of David Fincher’s 2015 Gone Girl adaptation of the Gillian Flynn novel of the same name.
Tyler Perry, star of the many Madea movies and Alex Cross, has been cast as a defense attorney in the new film. According to Deadline,20th Century Fox just closed the deal with Perry’s representatives, and he will be joining the impressive cast of Ben Affleck, Rosmund Pike, Neil Patrick Harris, Kim Dickens and Patrick Fugit.
The story tells the mystifying event of a wife (Pike) disappearing on the day of her wedding anniversary without a trace. Implicated in the mystery, her husband (Affleck) will be investigated by a pair of detectives played by Dickens and Fugit.
The film is targeting a 2015 release.
