Woody Allen has tapped Kristen Stewart, Bruce Willis, and Jesse Eisenberg to appear in his still untitled 2016 film.
NewsIn Hollywood, when Woody Allen calls, you say yes.
That has been the case for 30 years, and there are no signs that it’s changing. While Allen’s latest film Irrational Man, starring Joaquin Phoenix and Emma Stone, is still in post-production as its Cannes premiere date inches ever near, Allen is of course preparing his 2015 shoot for later in the year. For about 40 years, Allen has made a movie every year, and he shows no sign of stopping.
In that vein, it was announced today that Kristen Stewart, Bruce Willis, and Jesse Eisenberg will all be in Woody Allen’s next untitled film. No details are known, and it is questionable if the cast even knows them either, but it lenses later this year. Eissenberg has appeared in a Woody Allen film before, 2012’s To Rome with Love.
Allen’s most recent film was last summer’s Magic in the Moonlight, which starred Colin Firth and Emma Stone. The film received a mixed reception—albeit I wonder if the negativity was due to its actual perceived quality. We found the film to be a light, breezy, but amusing summer entertainment that does not solve the war between skepticism and spirituality, but thinks they should get a drink when this is all over.
