The X-Men films will march on after X-Men: Apocalypse. But it doesn't sound as though Jennifer Lawrence's Mystique will be in them.
NewsSince she was cast in the role of Mystique for Matthew Vaughn's X-Men: First Class, it would be fair to say that Jennifer Lawrence's career has taken off somewhat. She has an Oscar on her mantelpiece for Silver Linings Playbook, and she's become one of the biggest movie stars in the world, courtesy of The Hunger Games series.
She returns for the third time to play Mystique in Bryan Singer's X-Men: Apocalypse, which starts shooting shortly. And whilst many of her colleagues in the cast have held the door open to keep on going in theX-Menworld, it sounds as though Jennifer Lawrence may be calling time on her X-Men days.
In a chat with MTV, Lawrence was asked if she thought X-Men: Apocalypse would be the last one. To which she replied "it is my last one actually, yes."
It's little secret that the First Classcast signed three film deals when they landed their roles. By the sounds of it, Lawrence is unlikely to renew hers.
X-Men: Apocalypse arrives in cinemas in May 2016.
