It looks lighter than other Dark Knight outfits, but Ben Affleck's Batman costume in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice is hard work.
NewsAre you tired of Batman looking more like the Michelin Man in his big screen appearances? Well, in theory, the folks in charge have heard your concerns. Michael Wilkinson, costume designer for Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justicewas made aware of Batman's notorious "stiff neck" issue by director Zack Snyder, so it was something they wanted to address.
"It’s a very important thing to Zack that the Batsuit would be comfortable and very flexible, but then would be able to perform in a very natural and forceful way. So a lot of incredible engineering went into the development of the new black cowl."
But it's not that flexible. It still sounds like quite a process for Ben Affleck to actually suit up. Mr. Wilkinson said that "it does involve multiple costumers" and that "It’s not the sort of thing that I could just sit in Ben's trailer and he gets into it himself. It’s a six-handed operation."
