Ouijia Sequel Release Date and Screenwriters Named

Ouija sequel predicts its own release date and spells out the names of the screenwriters … Spooky

The producers of the low-budget horror smash Ouijahave made some predictions about the future of the franchise and it is frightening how accurate they are. Universal Pictures asked the board who might write the sequel and the names Mike Flanagan and Jeff Howard were spelled out. The duo who wrote Oculus.

Paramout asked when the world might see this sequel hit theaters and the Ouija board said Ouija 2 will see release on Friday, October 21, 2016 just like Blumhouse Pictures had previously predicted.

No director has been announced. When we asked Parker Brothers about it, they pointed to a Magic 8 ball, which said "outlook cloudy."

Ouija 2is being produced by Platinum Dunes partners Michael Bay, Brad Fuller and Andrew Form, who conjured films like The Texas Chainsaw Massacre, The Purgeseries and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, along with Blumhouse Productions’ Jason Blum, who a worked on The Purge and the Insidious series, as well as the upcoming Jem and the Holograms, and Hasbro’s Brian Goldner, who made the Transformersand G.I. Joe series and the upcoming Jem and the Holograms, and Stephen Davis who is also working on Jem and the Holograms.

According to the official synopsis of the first Ouijamove, “after Debbie (Shelley Hennig, Teen Wolf) suddenly dies, her best friend, Laine (Olivia Cooke, “Bates Motel”), attempts to contact her using an antique Ouija board she finds in Debbie’s room. When the curious teen begins asking the board questions and stumbles upon the mystery of her friend’s death, Laine discovers a resident spirit calling itself DZ, and eerie, inexplicable events begin to follow her. The group of friends dig deeper into the history of Debbie’s house and are shocked to find that Debbie wasn’t the first victim—and won’t be the last if they don’t figure out how to close the portal to the spirit world they’ve opened.”

Ouija 2 picks up with a group of unsuspecting friends who unleash another evil from the other side that they can't get back in the box.

The first Ouija cost $19.8 million to make and earned $50.8 million domestically and $100 million worldwide.
