Tom Hardy teases the Suicide Squad script, as he reveals the real reason he dropped out of the film...

News

Earlier this year, Tom Hardy departed the cast of Warner Bros and David Ayer's Suicide Squad movie, to eventually be replaced by Joel Kinnaman. Around the time all of this happened, the story was that Hardy wasn't happy with the amount of screentime that he was getting in Suicide Squad, and that he wasn't thrilled with the screenplay.

But in a new interview with Collider, ahead of the release of his next film - Mad Max: Fury Road - Hardy has put on the record his own side of the story.

"There’s a very practical element as to why I’ve missed out on that foray" he said, "which is because Alejandro [G Inarritu, director] has overshot by three months in Calgary, so we’ve got to go back out to Patagonia or Alaska to continue shooting The Revenant [alongside Leonardo DiCaprio] which has turned into a much bigger beast than we thought, but that also looks exceptional."

He added that "I was really bummed out" about having to drop out of the film. I wanted to work on that and I know the script is really fucking alley and I also know what’s gonna happen with The Joker and Harley Quinn in that; I won’t give away too much…it’s fucking alley."

Alley means "very good," we understand.

Suicide Squad is shooting now, ahead of its release in August 2016.
