Paul Dini and Bruce Timm sound off about the look of Margot Robbie as Harley Quinn in the Suicide Squad movie.
NewsNow that we've all had a good look at Margot Robbie as Harley Quinn in David Ayer's Suicide Squad movie, it's time for the internet to begin overanalyzing things. But perhaps the most important analysis of all should be from the creators who brought Harley Quinn into the world: Bruce Timm and Paul Dini.
In a chat with io9, Mr. Dini described Harley's look as "interesting." He explained, though, that it's better than he expected. "I was frankly a little nervous about what Harley would look like, but I thought she looked really cool. So I’m optimistic... So far so good."
Meanwhile, Bruce Timm expressed similar sentiments to Polygon. "I'm actually really excited. I just...saw the first image of Harley Quinn from the Suicide Squadmovie, and I thought 'Woah. She looks actually pretty cute!' I was actually kind of worried I thought ‘Oh, she's going to look really, really bizarre and skanky' but nah, she's not too bad. So I'm often mistaken.
And finally, Entertainment Tonight has a video full of set photos that show off Margot Robbie as Harley Quinn during production of the Suicide Squad movie. Check it out:
