J.J. Abrams teases what may end up being a very special Easter egg in Star Wars: The Force Awakens...
Well, on this one, you can't accuse director J.J. Abrams of not giving fans what they want. As he continues to put together the final cut of this December's Star Wars: The Force Awakens, more of his chat with Vanity Fair magazine has been published. And he's teased a demise for gungan of doom, the notorious Jar-Jar Binks from Star Wars Episode I: The Phantom Menace.
Working in the edit suite, Abrams said that "I have a thought about putting Jar Jar Binks bones in the desert there," while pointing out a frame of his new film. "I'm serious! Only three people will notice, but they'll love it."
We'd wager hard cash that if he did that, far more than three people would notice. And while it's not what people are necessarily lining up to see in Star Wars: The Force Awakens, we doubt it'll inspire an internet petition of protest.
Star Wars: The Force Awakens arrives on December 18th 2015.
