There's a documentary on the way about a Justice League movie that you never got to see...
NewsBack in 2007, we very nearly got a Justice Leaguemovie. And not just any Justice Leaguemovie. A Justice League movie from the director of Mad Max: Fury Road, George Miller.
The film (which was known as Justice League: Mortal) had a script and a cast, sets were constructed and costumes were designed. Then the plug was abruptly yanked, and the film was canceled.
Well, at least we'll get a documentary on it. In the tradition of other documentaries on "movies you'll never see" like the extraordinary Jodorowsky's Duneand the upcoming The Death of Superman Lives: What Happened? there's something in development on George Miller's Justice League movie, with director Ryan Unicomb at the helm.
It sounds like this is quite a ways off, who revealed the project to if.com.au in an attempt to "gauge interest." The director already has some private investors, and may also turn to crowdfunding to make the project happen.
We'll have much more on the lost Justice League: Mortal movie later this week, including some exclusive quotes from George Miller.
Meanwhile, Justice League - Part One from director Zack Snyder is due on November 17th, 2017.
