"They have me for I think 38 movies or something", says Chris Pratt of a Jurassic World follow-up...

Last summer, Chris Pratt headlined the massive box office success that was Marvel's Guardians Of The Galaxy. This year? He's front and center of another, the wildly successful coming back to life of theJurassic Parksaga, Jurassic World.

Chatting to Entertainment Weekly about the film, Pratt revealed that the movie was pitched to him by director Colin Trevorrow over Skype, when the actor was in the midst of the Guardians Of The Galaxy shoot. A long-time Jurassic Park fan, Pratt signed up not long after, and explained that Trevorrow was adamant "it's not a reboot."

Trevorrow's pitch?

"His whole thing was because of money, which justifies making another movie but also he uses that real life justification for the reason the park is open. So you’re picking up 22 years after the first movie and the park is up and running and it’s getting 20,000 visitors a day. You’ve got a functional park and you get to see that. Also it explores our relationship with science and our society today and how it’s different from what it was in the 90s. We’re not impressed by shit anymore. We have the most astounding shit happening all around us and no one cares. We’re so bored. It’s like impossible to impress us... Instead of being mesmerised by a T-rex, they’re at the park and they’re looking at their iPhones."

Chris Pratt duly signed on the dotted line, but as it turns out, his contract doesn't stop there.

When asked whether he is signed up for subsequent Jurassic Park films, the actor said that "I am," adding "they have me for I think 38 movies or something."

We await the announcement of Jurassic Park5, then...

EW.
