Eddie Redmayne and Katherine Waterston are set to lead Fantastic Beasts And Where To Find Them...
NewsThe upcoming trilogy of films set around the world of Harry Potter, Fantastic Beasts And Where To Find Them, recently locked down Eddie Redmayne in one of the lead roles of Newt Scamander. Now? We learn that another lead role has been cast, as Katherine Waterston is set to take on the part of Tina in the movie.
Tina is short for Porpentina, and she's a witch who practices her magic in America. She meets Newt when he visits New York, as part of his quest to document magical creatures.
Waterston most recently appeared in Paul Thomas Anderson's Inherent Vice, and she's going to have to cracking with Fantastic Beasts And Where To Find Them shortly. Production is due to start later this year, with director David Yates -- who helmed the last four Harry Potter films -- calling the shots. The screenplay has been written by J.K. Rowling, the first time she has written a story directly for the screen.
Fantastic Beasts And Where To Find Themis set for release on November 18th 2016.
