Warner Brothers is having some fun marketing its upcoming 300 sequel and is bringing some of the goodness to Comic-Con this year.
Just released online is the 300: Rise of an Empire poster with the cryptic words, “Fear Us!”
Personally, I have no problem fearing the concept of a sequel to 300. However, in case you missed the trailer, it actually looks damnably entertaining. While Zack Snyder is only a writer/producer on this stylized entry in Greek mythmaking, it has the trademark speed ramping and trippy visuals, plus the lovely Eva Green as a Persian baddie. We’d switch sides for her any day.
300: Rise of an Empire details the Greek resistance against Xerxes (Rodrigo Santoro) and Persian Naval Commander Artemesia (Green) in the fallout of the battle of Thermopylae.
The sequel is directed by Noam Murro and is slated for a March 7, 2014 release date.
