Director Christopher Nolan continues to intrigue fans as he assembles an ensemble for his latest science fiction epic, this one originally penned by brother Jonathan Nolan, Interstellar.
Today, The Wrap is reporting that Timothée Chalamet is joining the strong cast of characters to bring the mysterious premise to life. Chalamet is currently best known for playing the sad sack son of the vice president on Homeland.
Chalamet will be joining a cast that includes Matthew McConaughey, Anne Hathaway, Jessica Chastain and Michael Caine. The brain worm-teasing premise pertains to a group of explorers who must travel to the furthest reaches of the universe through wormholes. The concept was inspired from ideas purported by theoretical physicist Kip Thorne in his book, Wormholes, Time Machines and the Weak Energy Condition.
What exactly do the Nolan brothers have planned? I suspect we will not fully know until the picture’s release in November 2014.
