Actor Kevin Costner is in demand again after back-to-back hits with the History Channel miniseries The Hatfields & McCoys, which net the actor an Emmy, and Man of Steel, which soared last month and just crossed $600 million worldwide last week.
Thus, it is no surprise to hear that he is in talks with Universal Pictures to star in Guillermo del Toro’s new thriller, Midnight Delivery.
Produced and co-written by the Pacific Rim auteur, Midnight Delivery pertains to a father, presumably to be played by Costner, who tries to save his estranged daughter from a Colombian cartel by agreeing to traffic their cocaine to the UK on a midnight flight. Del Toro collaborated with Neil Cross of BBC’s Luther on the screenplay.
Midnight Delivery is set for an autumn shoot and a 2014 release date. May Costner fly high once more.

I thought Costner was pretty awesome in Mr. Brooks So I have a feeling he will rock another thriller.
