Remember when everyone hated The Amazing Spider-Man’s radically changed costume for the wallcrawler? One that was always teased in darkness during the marketing? Sony seems to, because they are going for the old-tried-true iconography for The Amazing Spider-Man 2.
In the newest photo release, posted on the movie’s Facebook page, the superhero sequel that looks poised to have a big showing at this weekend’s Comic-Con reveals its title logo alongside a well-lit, in front of a white background, photo still of Andrew Garfield in his new the treads. This could be a potential screensaver of the web-head getting ready to douse the viewer.
We think the costume looks perfect this go-round and appreciate the new styling. This also comes on the heels of the title-less logo also being revealed last week.
The Amazing Spider-Man 2 also stars Emma Stone as Gwen Stacy, Jamie Foxx as Electro and Paul Giamatti as the Rhino. There may also be Osborns, felines and a redhead or two making an appearance. Spidey swings back into theaters in May 2014.
