It was only a matter of time before it happened, but the New 52 DC Universe is finally making the jump to other media. While the animated Justice League: The Flashpoint Paradox is still on the way, it does appear that DC's animated universe will follow the path laid out in the comics. Justice League: War will be the next DC animated feature, and is based on the first six issues of the Geoff Johns/Jim Lee Justice League comic which effectively launched the rebooted DC Universe.
If the animated Flashpointdoes indeed play out the way the comic version does, with Flash's actions causing reality to be re-written, thus resulting in a new iteration of the DC Universe, the implications here are profound. For the first time, we'll be witnessing a superhero universe reborn in another medium. While something similar was addressed with J.J. Abrams' first Star Trek movie, where it's accepted that the original timeline exists, and that there's a reason for the reboot, this will certainly be something new in superhero animation.

Revealed in a series of tweets by PR man Gary Miereanu, Justice League: War has assembled a voice cast that includes Shemar Moore as Cyborg, Jason O'Mara as Batman, and Chris Gorham as Flash. No release date has been set yet, but it will certainly be interesting to see the New 52 designs in animated action when this one hits!
