Jeff Wadlow’s immediate attention these coming weeks will no doubt be on publicising the incoming Kick-Ass 2. But he's nonetheless found the time to comment on the X-Force adaptation that he’s definitely writing and very strongly linked to be directing.
Chatting to movie theater Blend, he said that "I’m pretty deep into it, I have the whole story completely worked out. I’m about 20 pages into my draft. If I wasn’t promoting Kick-Ass, I would probably have a draft [completed], but Kick-Ass is going to slow me down just a little".
He added that "I love the current run of Uncanny X-Force: I love the classic run. Part of my take was addressing this idea that X-Force can be many different things, and that’s what got the studio excited. I think the fans will be excited, too".
Whether the last part hints at his desire to include previous and current runs of the comic remains to be seen, but the fact that this project is going ahead shows Fox’s intention of getting the most from the rights to the X-Men franchise.
