Once and for all, the Hulk will not be joining Guardians of the Galaxy 2. Also, watch a new clip!

That Planet Hulk movie talk just won't die, although James Gunn should put it all to rest right here. Maybe it's because fans want another Hulk movie, but know deep down that there's not many movies can you make about Bruce Banner fighting to control the beast within followed by a punch-up with some other horribly mutated gamma-creature. So why not take it to space?

See? I'm doing it again. I'm just as guilty.

Anyway, Guardians of the Galaxy director James Gunn would like you to know, in no uncertain terms, that any talk of a Planet Hulkmovie or a Guardians of the Galaxy/Hulk crossover that looks/sounds like Planet Hulk is nonsense and he has/wants nothing to do with it. He told IndieWire:

"There's not going to be a 'Planet Hulk' movie, there was never going to be a 'Planet Hulk' movie, there was never a plan for the Hulk to team up with the Guardians of the Galaxy – I wouldn't want the Hulk to team up with the Guardians of the Galaxy! And it's all a bunch of complete bullshit."

Fair enough, but be careful, Mr. Gunn...trying to keep toys out of the big Marvel sandbox may be what got Edgar Wright in trouble. Anyway, he goes into much more detail in that IndieWire piece. Go read it.

Oh, and speaking of the big Marvel sandbox, Kevin Feige told IGNabout how Guardiansmight (or might not) cross over with Avengers 3 down the road.

"Part of the fun of the comics is that could happen. Any character could interact with any other character because they inhabit the same time period and the same universe. And certainly it is the inclusion of Thanos most specifically that is a declaration to audiences who are paying attention that this is connected to those other universes. Part of the fun is that it could happen someday. I don’t know when that would be. Or maybe I know and I’m not going to tell you!"

Now, for something a little different, enjoy a five-minute clip from Guardians of the Galaxy right here.
