Michael Caine will cast a spell over The Last Witch Hunter, a new supernatural action movie starring Vin Diesel and Rose Leslie.
With the combined forces of Vin Diesel (Fast and Furious) and the always-bewitching Rose Leslie (Game of Thrones), those witches probably never stood a chance. But now that Harry Palmer/Alfie/Peaches/Alfred Pennyworth is on the case, the witches better just throw in the cauldron right now.
Michael Caine is joining the cast of The Last Witch Hunter, as reported in Deadline. A film about a modern day witch hunter that is half-touched by magic (not unlike Blade), Diesel is the last of his kind of witch-killing hombres when he teams up with a goodhearted witch played by Leslie in New York. Together, they will stop a double, double, toil and trouble sort or else the whole world will be infected by a virus.
It is currently unclear what role that Caine will play. But if we had to guess, he will be the mentor that must pass wisdom on to Diesel before simply passing on himself.
The Last Witch Hunter is being directed by Breck Eisner (The Crazies) and is set to be released next year by Summit Entertainment.
