Scoot McNairy may have just hinted at how important his role in Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice might be...
We've avoided getting too caught up in the speculation about who Scoot McNairy is playing in Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice. In the last few days, we've seen sites go out on limbs and say that he is Morgan Edge, The Flash, Metallo, Ambush Bug, Blue Devil, and even...alright, a couple of those aren't true. You get the picture, though.
Regardless, there's been very little to go on, other than a set photo of him wearing green socks, indicating some post-production wizardry was in store for him. That being the case, he probably isn't some politician annoyed with Superman or anything like that. The odds of him having cybernetic legs (or super speed) ones probably just increased incrementally. But more importantly, from an interview with Schmoes Know, it does sound like there are plans for his mystery character.
After pointing out that he "literally can’t say anything,” he did say that "I hope to be a part of the DC Universe for a while as well." As for whether this could include a future in a Justice League movie, he agreed it would be "awesome."
We do know that beyond Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman, and Cyborg, we're due for at least a few big superheroes to show up, even in set-up/cameo capacity, to make the transition to the Justice League movie that much smoother. Now that the film is into its fourth month of principal photography, it's probably a safe bet that some of these characters are already on set. Maybe Scoot McNairy will be sticking around.
Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justicewill arrive on March 25th, 2016. Certainly we'll know who Scoot McNairy is playing by then, right?
