Watch three new behind-the-scenes featurettes with Ridley Scott and the crew of Exodus: Gods and Kings, discussing the biblical epic.

And the Biblical Epics keep on running with Exodus: Gods and Kings. If you ever wanted to hear Christian Bale gruff, “Let my people go!” here is your chance. With Ridley Scott returning to his genre of choice, big, old epics, Hollywood is revisiting the Moses story with Bale as the leader of the Hebrews, Joel Edgerton as Ramses, Pharaoh of Egypt, and Ben Kingsley and Sigourney Weaver in supporting roles. Check out the parting of the Red Sea under Scott’s direction and with CGI visuals. Between Crowe as Noah and Bale as Moses, the Bible has never seemed so ready for a lil’ fisticuffs.

Following the tradition of Noah (or Scott’s own Robin Hood), Exodus: Gods and Kings looks to take a well-known story and give it the spin of a modern lens. We know that Moses really fought for his people, but now he is fighting headlong into battle. Plus, is it that surprising for Christian Bale to be playing the orphaned son of wealth who decides to not give up on his hometown people?

In the below three promos, see first Ridley Scott discuss his vision for this world and why he wanted to tackle the biblical story of “Exodus.” Then follow that up with two more promos about how the costumes and sets were designed in what looks to be Scott’s most visually ambitious film since 2005’s Kingdom of Heaven.
