Jeremy Renner on Captain America 3 & Avengers: Age Of Ultron

Jeremy Renner set the internet gossip machine off the other week, when he dropped into conversation that the character of Hawkeye was potentially making an appearance in Captain America 3. Renner, who is returning to play the role in Joss Whedon'sAvengers: Age Of Ultron, has given a new interview to the Daily Beast that throws just a little bit of doubt on it, as he confirms at the moment that it's just a rumour.

"I don't know what's going to happen. I know it's going to start shooting in March," he said of Captain America 3. "I haven't had any official conversations about doing it or not." Note that doesn't rule out unofficial conversations, of course. So maybe he's not throwing too much doubt.

Anyway, Renner also turned his attention to The Avengers2, revealing that there are still a few pick-up shots to do. However, he added that "Hulk has a more prominent role, and I have a more prominent role. There are a lot more scenes of the entire Avengers gang together - both in and out of the cape, so to speak."

He also confirmed that his contract includes a Hawkeye spin-off, should Marvel ever want to make one.
