Walter White is going after the Colombian drug cartels.
Bryan Cranston is going undercover. The man who played Walter White is no stranger to the Colombian drug cartels. Well, the man who played him might not be on their Christmas card list, but the character did dealings and knows his way around Crystal Blue Persuasion.
Bryan Cranston from Breaking Bad,Argo and the LBJ play All The Way, will star in the investigative thriller The Infiltrator.
The Infiltrator is based on the autobiography of Robert Mazur. Mazur was an undercover cop who spent five years infiltrating Colombian drug cartels. Known as mob guy Bob Musella to corrupt bankers and businessmen, Mazur lived the high life. He slept in $1,000-a night hotel rooms. He flew in private jets, drank champagne drove a Rolls, wore Armani. As part of Operation C-Chase, he busted 80 people and was part of the team that nabbed General Manuel Noriega.
The Infiltrator was adapted for the screen by Ellen Brown Furman. Brad Furman will direct. Furman worked with Cranston on The Lincoln Lawyer. The movie will be the first of seven pictures from Good Films. Principal photography is set to start in January on location in London, Paris and Florida.
