Ever since its first teaser, Interstellar has made clear that it wants to revisit the inspiration and hope of a previous time: one when we looked to the sky and dreamed. But in the first clip for the Christopher Nolan film, we also see crystallized our viewpoint now on space travel, or at least an exaggerated distillation of what it could become: one where conspiracy theories are accepted, because we dare not look past our own narrow line of vision.

Interstellar is a mysterious adventure about a group of scientists and explorers who must go into space to save mankind’s destiny following a negative effect on Earth’s crops. The movie is based on a script written by Jonathan Nolan (originally meant for Steven Spielberg to direct) and Christopher Nolan, and stars Matthew McConaughey, Anne Hathaway, Jessica Chastain, Wes Bentley, Topher Grace, John Lithgow, and Michael Caine.
Interstellar takes off November 7, 2014, and in special IMAX screens on November 5, 2014.
