Seth Rogen is set to star in the upcoming Steve Jobs biopic from Danny Boyle and Aaron Sorkin, with Christian Bale as Jobs.
It would appear that the other Steve Jobs biopic, currently untitled, is shaping up to have quite the product launch in its horizon. After already casting Christian Bale as Steve Jobs, Sony and Danny Boyle are also now closing the deal with Seth Rogen to play Apple Computer’s cofounder and Jobs’ first tech innovator, Steve Wozniak.
The project is based on a screenplay by Aaron Sorkin (The Social Network), who is working from Walter Isaacson’s bestselling biography, Steve Jobs. The film had previously interested David Fincher to direct, before Boyle came on board to adapt the life story of the revolutionary businessman and entrepreneur.
Wozniak cofounded Apple with Jobs and Ronald Wayne in 1976 where his technological savvy led him to spearheading the creation of the Apple I and Apple II, the latter of which Jobs’ “Macintosh” team was seen as a direct competitor by the late Apple mogul. Wozniak stopped being a full-time employee of Apple in 1987.
