Captain America 3 starts production in April - and it doesn't look like it's shooting in the UK this time, either...

News

Production has wrapped on Marvel Studios' two features for 2015 - Avengers: Age Of Ultron and Ant-Man- and so attention turns for a minute to the next of its movies to go before the cameras. That'd be Captain America: Civil War, which sees directors Joe and Anthony Russo returning following their sizeable success with Captain America: The Winter Soldier.

Also returning is Anthony Mackie, joining Chris Evans again in the cast, and he's now revealed that "we start shooting in April," adding that it's "going to be a lot of flying and fighting for about five months."

Mackie, in conversation with B96 Chicago, also added that the film this time will shoot in Atlanta, Berlin and Puerto Rico. It's unclear at this stage whether it'll be making the UK its base, but given that Ant-Man was based out of Atlanta for the bulk of its production, that may be the case again here. Captain America shooting in America? Unthinkable.

Captain America: Civil War, which kicks off Marvel's phase three of movies, lands in cinemas in May 2016.

Comic Book Movie.
