Luke Bracey and Edgar Ramirez star in the new Point Break movie. And here are the first pics to prove it...
NewsLike it or not - and 'not' appears to be the consensus thus far - the remake of Point Break is edging ever closer. The movie is set for release in cinemas later this year, with Luke Bracey and Edgar Ramirez leading the cast. Ericson Core is directing this time, and also in the ensemble are Ray Winstone, Teresa Palmer and Delroy Lindo.
The plan with Point Break is to have it in cinemas this December, and Warner Bros has released the first two images from the movie. Inevitably, these don't tell you much more than the fact that extreme sports remain involved. They're also a reminder that Keanu Reeves and Patrick Swayze aren't in it.
Here are the pictures...

Also, the official synopsis for the film, if you've not seen it before, reads like this...
In Alcon Entertainment’s fast-paced, high-adrenaline action thriller “Point Break,” a young FBI agent, Johnny Utah (Luke Bracey), infiltrates a cunning team of thrill seeking elite athletes, led by the charismatic Bodhi (Edgar Ramirez). The athletes are suspected of carrying out a string of staggering crimes that kill innocent people and send the world’s economy into a tailspin.
Deep undercover, and with his life in imminent danger, Utah strives to prove they are the callous architects of these inconceivable crimes.
The film is replete with the most daring athleticism ever seen in a motion picture. These action adventure feats are performed by extreme athletes representing the world’s best in class in big-wave surfing, wingsuit flying, sheer-face snowboarding, free rock climbing, and high-speed motorcycling.
We'll have more on Point Break closer to its release. Thought you'd be pleased.
